Going to Dragon Con 2012

I'll be attending Dragon Con for the first time this year. If you didn't know, Dragon Con is a huge Atlanta based event on labor-day weekend (Aug. 31- Sept. 3)  for everything geeky. They have sci-fi, anime, paranormal, horror, etc. If anyone happens to see me there, feel free to say hello! The massive guest list this year includes The Cruxshadows (who perform every year), Aurelio Voltaire, Some of the True Blood cast, Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones, some of the TAPS team (Ghost hunters), and even the guy from Reading Rainbow! I'm quite excited as this event is massive. I'll make sure to post many pictures when I attend.

    I'm so jealous! If I was actually able to go I would definitely hunt down Voltaire and ask for a picture ^^

      I'm not a fan of Voltaire's music, but he seems like a nice person. I heard he makes toys as well, which is pretty neat. I'm most looking forward to the True Blood cast. :)

      It's a really huge event. hundreds of thousands of people attend each year.

      I do intend on having fun! I'm actually not a fan of the Cruxshadows... Sorry. The only song I kinda like from them is Marilyn My Bitterness. :/

Dragon Con 2012

This year was my first time going to Dragon Con. Although it was exhausting, I had a great time. I definitely plan on going again next year. Me and Justean She's feeling zombified. Justean, I think you need medical attention. Getting strangled by my demon friend.  I had to. haha I tried on two authentic steel boned corsets. I originally wanted the underbust (since they're versatile), but the overbust looks really good too.  I'd like to order one for birthday or Christmas. DIY Moon Patch

Sometimes, I get the inexplicable desire to paint patches. This time, I had an image of the moon phases in my head. The next thing I knew, I was pinning the patch on to the back of my jean vest. I was very pleased with how it turned out. What do you think? In progress The finished product

Decatur Cemetery

Established in 1823, Decatur Cemetery is older than the city of Atlanta itself.  Through the iron gates sprawled pathways lined by stone walls and oak trees. There were monuments of varying sizes and shapes, some worn and peppered with lichen.   Within the cemetery, there are a few mysterious letterbox locations. Letterboxing is a past time similar to geocaching. Participants use riddles to find hidden boxes. Inside the box is a pad of paper that is stamped and dated by the finders. My boyfriend and I trekked through the cemetery to find the hidden boxes. We managed to find one of the three, which was soaked with water. Although we didn't find all, our cemetery exploration proved successful. soaked letterbox, hiding under the tree trunk.
