My Halloween

Halloween morning, I groggily skulked out of my bed, stepping on the cold tile of my bathroom. It was 6:30 am, and I was not ready to get up. Regardless, I sleepily prepared my hair and makeup, because I was determined to be Jareth the whole day.  To become The Goblin King, I took a trip down to Walmart where I purchased my man piece, which is a star of Labyrinth in it's own right. No bulge equals no Jareth, and I wanted to stay true to the movie. If you can imagine, it's pretty silly and a bit awkward going to store late at night to buy nothing but a fairly large groin gaurd.  The hair is also a big part of the costume. I prepared the hair using an 80's glam rock wig and a ton of got2b Schwarzkopf gel and spray.  Finally, came the make-up. I found a few tutorials on You tube that helped give me direction. I applied primer all over my eyelids and on half my eyebrows.  After that, I took a white cream shadow pencil, and I caked ...

My Week

If you haven't noticed (and you probably haven't), I've been missing on blogger for a week. My computer had a nasty virus that took a week to fix. Over a week, a lot has happened surprisingly. I saw a man who was humped awake by a large dog. My mother wanted to go to Hot Topic, and I saw a Bauhaus shirt there which I had to purchase (more about that later). I might have a job, which is the perfect job for me (more about that if I get it). I had my first trip to Five Below, where I purchased a few things: Awesome zombie stickers for my car! ($2) A paisley skull lanyard ($1) A Voodoo Friends doll. His name is "misfit." I love the nose ring and purple mohawk! ($3) I visited an old friend of mine who I haven't seen in four years. I also saw the premier for the movie, Prometheus, last night. If you like Alien from Ridley Scott, this movie ties in. So now I have my computer back, I can keep up to date on some things. That includes blogging.

I have a large family on both of my parents’ sides. Needless to say, sometimes I find myself dealing with awkward comments or rude looks. If you incorporate darker, more mysterious or flamboyant look into your wardrobe like I do, you know exactly what I’m talking about. I’d like to offer you internet people some helpful tips if you happen to find yourself in troublesome situations at family reunions, holidays, etc. Here are some questions: 1.        How do I avoid conflict altogether? 2.        How do I react to rude or awkward comments? 3.        What do you do with unfamiliar family members? I love this photo! source 1.        Well, when I see family, I try to tone down my look a little. I d...
