The Witch's House

There lies a small crumbled white house in the middle of the forest where the smell of mildew pervades the nostrils of any person in it's presence. Vines choke the entryways, and toppled trees lean on the perforated roof that can barely support it's own weight. This house has been here for years, and no one knows the complete story. Many say it is haunted, and it is known to the locals as the witch's house.

This is not the first time I have visited this local legend. I came here the year before when people were still able to step up into the doorway and peer around at what lies inside. I remember random baseball memorabilia, a toppled fridge with an open book, and clothes strewn everywhere. What really stuck out were the hundreds of glass bottles circling the forest floor outside the dwelling. One of these bottles reportedly hurled past my best friend's head and shattered on a nearby tree. No one was seen throwing it either. This time, it was far too weathered to step inside. There was too much of a risk of falling through the rotted floor.  I hope you enjoy my photos from the experience, and perhaps they will give you the same eerie feeling that so many report to encounter here in real life.
