DIY Nose Chain

For those of you who've been trying to hunt down a nose chain, you probably know that they're difficult to find. Even online, there isn't a big selection. The ones I've found at a local Indian mall were pretty, but they weren't exactly what I was looking for. I finally decided it would be easier to make my own. 


What you need:
  • Any kind of necklace chain (preferably lightweight)
  • Nose ring (you can also make a lip chain if you have a lip ring.)
  • Earring Hook
  • Metal loops (You might be able to find a couple on your necklace)
  • Jewelry pliers (I used regular pliers, but it's a lot more difficult.)
How To Make It:
  1. Measure out the length you want your nose chain. Using the  pliers, separate the chain to your desired length.
  2. Take the piece you need, and attach both ends to  the bigger metal loops.
  3. Attach one end to your earring hook and the other end to your nose ring. Make sure the ends are tightened enough where the nose chain won't come apart. 
Cost: 
For me, it didn't cost any money. I already had these supplies around the house. If you don't have these supplies, it could cost up to $20. 

  For my nose chain, I decided to use a plain silver chain and a rosary beaded necklace. This came attached together as one necklace. This was especially convenient, because I wanted to get two different chain lengths.

      Thank you! I've sen some nose chains that don't require a pierced nose even. Those are most common where I live.

    Great DIY! It is always a great idea to make things out of other already existing things, I love to do that.

    I have always wanted to try a nose chain, I got my nose pierced when I was about 18 but my body rejected it, so I have never got to do it.

      Most authentic nose chains clip on to the nose, so you're in luck!

Devil's Turnaround

Noonday Missionary Baptist Church's Cemetery is also known as "Devil's Turnaround." It is located along a little back road in Kennesaw, Georgia, and most of the graves are scattered in the woods. Halloween Update: A Change of Plans

So everyone, I am a little disappointed to say that my Marie Antoinette costume is not a go this year. There has been so much piling up on me between things in my personal life, work, and school, that I have been unable to find the time to get the rest of my costume together. I bit off more than I could chew this year, but I know for next time to plan better. Perhaps you'll see the Queen next year... Although I will not be doing Marie Antoinette, I do have something planned that I can easily do with what I have! I will be using my red dress, a hat, roses, black lace and accessories, and of course some creative make-up, to throw together a Día de los Muertos costume. I think it might even be a better option this year, as I plan on visiting my aunt's house who has decorated her home in a  "Dead Hat Society" theme this year. Dragon Con 2012

This year was my first time going to Dragon Con. Although it was exhausting, I had a great time. I definitely plan on going again next year. Me and Justean She's feeling zombified. Justean, I think you need medical attention. Getting strangled by my demon friend.  I had to. haha I tried on two authentic steel boned corsets. I originally wanted the underbust (since they're versatile), but the overbust looks really good too.  I'd like to order one for birthday or Christmas.
